SlideRocket is a rich internet application built on Adobe's Flex platform. It has a sexy interface with many of the bells and whistles that you would expect from a desktop application like PowerPoint and Keynote. SlideRocket is in its Beta Release with no initial public release date, so we'll just have to wait and see if it measures up to expectations. SlideRocket Claims:
SlideRocket differentiates itself from other presentation products by being Web-based, feature-rich, easy-to-use, secure, and complete. SlideRocket is also unique in that it includes a community marketplace where content and services can be shared and transacted. SlideRocket is the first online productivity application that embraces business level features such as collaboration, robust security, dynamic data binding and business integration with applications like Salesforce.com. SlideRocket also embraces the best of the Internet with features like asset tagging, web content mashups, embedded data services and seamless rich media support." Screenshots You can take a look at SlideRocket's CEO, Mitch Crasso, demo of the application at the Under The Radar conference: My first impression is that SlideRocket will make a significant impact on the industry. It's not a matter if people will adopt this technology, but when. Can Microsoft and Apple keep up with the new age of authoring and distribution solutions? We'll just have to wait and see...
