What's the next big thing in Presentation 2.0? Google and ZOHO are the frontrunners in the race for on-demand presentation solutions—until now. Enter SlideRocket, this early stage start-up has a promising application that will give these two heavyweights a run for their money in the web-ware space. Can SlideRocket beat out the reigning champions in the client-side desktop space: PowerPoint and Keynote?  I'm very excited to see how SlideRocket will change the way people communicate.

SlideRocket is a rich internet application built on Adobe's Flex platform. It has a sexy interface with many of the bells and whistles that you would expect from a desktop application like PowerPoint and Keynote. SlideRocket is in its Beta Release with no initial public release date, so we'll just have to wait and see if it measures up to expectations.

My first impression is that SlideRocket will make a significant impact on the industry. It's not a matter if people will adopt this technology, but when. Can Microsoft and Apple keep up with the new age of authoring and distribution solutions? We'll just have to wait and see...
